The Carolina Hurricanes host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night as the series shifts back to Carolina for Game 5. Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho has been clutch in these playoffs with two multi-goal efforts and a pair of game-winning goals so far. Aho’s anytime goal prop of +160 is thus a reasonable bet, especially after he found the back of the net in Carolina’s Game 3 victory.
Aho should also get a number of scoring chances in a must-win game for the Hurricanes. He’s been averaging 3.6 shots per game during the postseason and might be even more aggressive tonight. With so many shots on net, it’s only a matter of time before he scores another goal, so I’m taking these odds with a chance to win plus money.
Carolina Hurricanes To Win Game 5 (+105)
The number here is better than even, which is a bit of a surprise with Carolina back on its home ice. This series has been tight, with three of the games decided by one goal and the other game decided by two.
With an extra day of rest following Game 4, the Hurricanes should be ready to defend their home turf and stave off elimination. They’ll be extra motivated to win this do-or-die game at home, and anytime you can get a good hockey team at these odds is a golden opportunity. If these numbers stay where they are, bet Carolina to extend this series to a sixth game in Tampa Bay.
