The Tampa Bay Lightning host the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night as the series shifts to Tampa Bay. Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov has been on fire in the playoffs, tallying 3 goals and 9 assists in 8 postseason games thus far. Kucherov’s anytime goal prop of +165 is also a decent bet for this game as well.
Kucherov should get some power-play opportunities in Game 3, as Tampa Bay ranked among the top-three power-play teams during the first half of the season when healthy. The +110 number also looks quite reasonable given that Kucherov leads these NHL Playoffs with 3 power-play goals, so I like his chances to notch another power-play point tonight.
Carolina Hurricanes To Win Game 3 (+135)
The number here is plus-money enough to be attractive on Thursday night. Tampa Bay narrowly won the first two games by a score of 2-1 both times thanks to Andrei Vasilevskiy‘s stout goaltending, but Carolina easily could have won either game with a few more breaks.
Down 0-2 on the road, the Hurricanes will have an even greater sense of urgency to win Game 3. This still figures to be a long series, as Carolina has the firepower to match the defending Stanley Cup champions. Accordingly, look for the Hurricanes to get back in the series with a win tonight.
