Jets-Chiefs Players to Watch
NYJ QB Sam Darnold has a questionable tag but is expected to suit up for the Jets again Sunday. In his return from injury last week, Darnold threw for just 120 yards and 2 interceptions. Facing a Chiefs defense that has allowed 1 or zero passing TDs in five of its seven games should spell trouble again for Darnold at Arrowhead.
KC QB Patrick Mahomes remains in MVP form, tallying 16 passing TDs to one pick while averaging more than 270 passing yards per game. Going up against a Jets D that has allowed a 300-yard passer in two of its past three games as well as 11 passing TDs on the season, Mahomes should have a field day.
KC WR Tyreek Hill and KC TE Travis Kelce should be Mahomes’ top targets again Sunday. Both pass catchers have 5 receiving TDs in seven games and the Jets defense has allowed 12 TDs to WRs and TEs so far this season. With a near 20-point spread, these two will be heavily involved again in Week 8.
Jets-Chiefs Weather Report
The weather report for Arrowhead Stadium calls for sunny skies and a game-time temperature of 51 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind gusts of up to 18 mph are expected as well.
Jets-Chiefs Betting Guide
BEST BET: Under 49 (-110)
With a spread of close to 20 points, seeing an over/under total of less than 50 points can be a bit jarring. However, we have one team likely to score around 30 points in the Chiefs and another in the Jets that hasn’t topped 10 points in its last three games.
I expect a total blowout and wouldn’t be surprised to see a 35-10 final score.

CONSIDER: Chiefs -19.5 (-110)
While it’s crazy to think that any two NFL teams could be separated by three touchdowns, this is a matchup where it actually seems feasible.
You have the defending Super Bowl champions taking on the only winless team in the NFL in 2020.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Chiefs are up by the spread by halftime. It’s just a question of if they can hold on with backups likely playing at least part of the second half.
PASS: Chiefs (-2198)
Sure, the Chiefs are going to win this game, but there’s no need to risk almost $2,200 to win a measly $100.
