Giants Football Team Bet Tips

Giants Football Team Odds and Betting Lines

  • Against The Spread: Football Team -3 (-110)/Giants +3 (line)
  • Moneyline: Football Team (-165)/Giants (+140)
  • Total: 41.5 — Over 41.5 (-110)/Under 41.5 (-110)
  • Implied Team Totals: Football Team 22.25, Giants 19.25

While the Giants lost a heartbreaker on Monday night to the Buccaneers, they’ve played their best game of the year despite the losing effort and continue to progress in the right direction on a weekly basis.

The one-win Giants will look to make it two facing a Washington club on the road, who are coming off a blowout victory over the Cowboys preceding their Week 8 bye.

This is a game that features NFC East and playoff implications, as ugly as that sounds as the loser can likely pack it in for the rest of the way.

Giants-Football Team Players to Watch

Giants QB Daniel Jones plays some of his best football against Washington. In three career games, Jones has thrown for 689 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. Jones has also rushed for at least 33 yards in 2-of-3 games against them, including going for 74 yards on the ground back in Week 6.

While Jones has not gotten off to the greatest start this season, he’s picked up the pace since that Week 6 win over the Football team. In his past three games, Jones has passed for at least 112 yards with a touchdown, while rushing for at least 74 yards in two of the three outings. He’s also thrown for at least two touchdowns in back-to-back games, the first time he’s accomplished that feat since Weeks 10 and 12 of last season.

Jones is a perfect 3-0 against the Football Team in his three career starts.

Giants Football Team Bet Tips: Terry McLaurin will have a tough matchup with James Bradberry

Washington WR Terry McLaurin is one of the premier young wideouts in the NFL. He is also the Football Team’s best offensive weapon by a mile.

If Washington is going to win their second consecutive game this week against the Giants, McLaurin must be an intricate part of the game plan.

In two career games against New York, McLaurin has caught at least seven passes for 74 yards in each outing. What’s most impressive is the fact that McLaurin went for his 7/74/0 line on 12 targets back in Week 6’s loss while facing James Bradberry in coverage.

Outside of James Washington back in the season opener, McLaurin had the best game against Bradberry this season in terms of receptions (seven) and yards (77). Bradberry has been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in 2020 and is one of the bright spots on the Giants’ defense.

Giants-Football Team Betting Guide

BEST BET: Giants (+140)

The Giants are coming off of a loss, but it was one of those proverbial “good losses." Nearly taking out the Super Bowl contending Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, the Giants have confidence going into Sunday’s matchup with Washington.

While the Giants are 1-3 in their past four games, they have lost by fewer than three points in each of those three defeats.

Daniel Jones and the Giants are 3-0 straight-up against Washington in their past three meetings and 5-1 in their last six.

Jones is also a perfect 3-0 against the Football Team in his two-year career.

CONSIDER: Giants +3 (-110)

If you are not as confident as I am in the Giants, then pivot to taking New York with the points.

The Giants are 4-2 against the spread in their last six meetings with the Football Team. They are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

New York is a perfect 4-0 in their last four games overall as an underdog.

CONSIDER: Under 41.5

This is a game that features two anemic offenses as Washington is ranked 30th in the NFL at 19.0 points per game while the Giants are ranked 31st at 18.1 PPG.

Meanwhile, both defenses are playing fairly well for two teams with a combined three wins. New York’s defense is surrendering the 14th most PPG (24.9) while the Football Team is yielding the 11th most at a 23.6 PPG rate.

The under is 4-2 in Washington’s past six games and 4-0 in the Football Team’s last four meetings with NFC East foes.

The under is also 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between the Giants and the Football Team.
