The Cleveland Browns were a team last season that surprised many considering the not-so-favorable preseason outlook for quarterback Baker Mayfield. While Mayfield was not amazing by any stretch of the imagination, he was still better than expected and led the Browns to a playoff berth.

The Browns letting go of head coach Freddie Kitchens worked wonders for the offensive scheme in Cleveland with Kevin Stefanski turning a sinking ship into a potential contender. I expect as good of a season in 2021 for the Browns as what was put on in 2020.

Most of the offensive pieces for the Browns are still intact, and they made enormous additions of Jadeveon Clowney and Takkarist McKinley in the offseason. What’s not to like? If Baker Mayfield can improve any more than he already has, considering a strong receiving corps led by Odell Beckham Jr., this Browns team could be the surprise of the year.

The Browns’ schedule is a tough one, however. Playing the Baltimore Ravens twice is never a fun deal and having to meet up with Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City is no fun either. Nevertheless, even though there are some scare games on the ledger for the Browns, they are better than most of the pack. This team is capable of winning 11 or 12 games in 2021 if all breaks right.

Browns 2021 Make Playoffs Bet: Yes Or No For Cleveland?

Browns Make 2021 NFL Playoffs? YES (-200)

Taking the YES (-200) option is by far the more ‘fun’ betting approach from an enjoyment perspective, but at the same time, this is the smarter play. The Browns are more than capable of locking in one of the top two spots in the AFC North along with the Baltimore Ravens, and which order they come in could very well come down to how the two matchups between them play out. Factoring in an inexperienced Bengals squad and a declining Steelers team, the Browns’ time to shine is now.
