Bills 49ers Key Injuries

Bills

Bills WR John Brown is on IR with an ankle injury. In games that Brown hasn’t been healthy (Weeks 5-7), the Buffalo offense put up its three lowest scoring games. Stefon Diggs and/or Cole Beasley will need to step up with Brown expected to miss at least the next two games.

49ers

49ers RB Raheem Mostert returned from injury last week, nabbing a team-high 16 carries. With Tevin Coleman listed as questionable with a knee injury, a combination of Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr. and Jerick McKinnon should share the load against the Bills’ top-10 rush defense.

Bills 49ers Players to Watch

BUF QB Josh Allen is coming off just his third game of the season where he threw for less than 200 yards. Facing a San Fran D that is ranked second in the league in passing yards allowed per game (217.6), and with the aforementioned Brown out for this contest, Allen could struggle again Monday night.

SF WR Deebo Samuel had by far his best game of 2020 in Week 12 versus the Rams. He caught 11 passes for 133 yards while racking up a season-best 13 targets. In its past two games, the Bills defense has allowed the opposing team’s No. 1 WR to go for 4 catches for 40 yards and a TD (Keenan Allen) and 7 for 127 and a TD (DeAndre Hopkins), so a big game with a TD could be in the cards for Deebo.

Bills 49ers Bet Tips

BEST BET: Under 48 (-110)

With a “home" game for the 49ers being played in Arizona, it’s hard for me to take a side here. That’s why my only lean for Monday night is on the under. The 49ers are averaging 23.7 PPG on the year and 17.7 in their last three.

The Bills averaged 17.0 points in the games where Brown, AKA Smoke, was a non-factor. With two run-heavy offenses, I’ll take the under with a 20-17 prediction for the final score.

CONSIDER: 49ers (+100)

This isn’t an ideal situation for either team, but the 49ers are a live dog. You could play them on the back end of a parlay with a plan to hedge come Monday.

PASS: 49ers +1 (-110)

If you want to take the 49ers, take them moneyline at even money. But it is viable to take the Bills -1, if you choose to back Allen and Co.
