NHL Props of the Day: Best Hockey Props Today 10/22/21
Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-105) at BetMGM
Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights, 10:00 ET
Connor McDavid has gotten off to a roaring start this season with six goals and five assists in four games. The best player in the world has racked up two or more points in every game so far.
McDavid is in a tier of his own as a point producer. He put up an absurd 105 points in only 56 games last season, which averages out to 1.875 points per game.
This game has a 6.5-goal total, so we could see a high-scoring affair between the Oilers and Golden Knights. Vegas has allowed 12 goals in three games this season. It’s going to be tough to stop McDavid in this one.

Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 Points (+155) at BetMGM
Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights, 10:00 ET
Why stop at McDavid without adding in his running mate in Leon Draisaitl? Draisaitl has also gotten off to a great start so far, putting up two goals and six assists in four games.
He’s also a prolific point producer, racking up 84 points in 56 games last year, which works out to 1.5 points per game. Draisaitl has put up two or more points in two of his four games this season.
Draisaitl plays on the top line with McDavid on both even strength as well as the power play. This makes this a correlated play with my McDavid prop. There’s a great chance that if McDavid puts up two or more points, Draisaitl will as well.
David Pastrnak To Score Goal (+105) at BetMGM
Boston Bruins at Buffalo Sabres, 7:00 ET
David Pastrnak has yet to score a goal this season after putting up 20 goals in 48 games last season. He’s become one of the best goal scorers in hockey, scoring 48 in 70 games in 2019-20.
Pastrnak plays on the top line on even strength as well as the powerplay, getting fed passes from Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand to form one of the best lines in the NHL.
The Bruins go up against the undefeated Sabres tonight, but I’m not ready to anoint Buffalo as an improved team just yet. Boston should be able to win this game, which means more goals and more opportunities for this prop to hit.
