NHL Bets of the Day 11/10/21

On a short slate of games, we will be limiting our exposure. While there is one bet out of the three games that I like enough to strongly recommend, I will include a couple leans in addition to this play 2 unit play.

Best Bet: Maple Leafs/Flyers Under 6 (-110)

Wager: 2 units

The Toronto Maple Leafs (7-5-1) have gone Over this total in just two of their last seven games, while the Philadelphia Flyers (6-2-2) have not hit six goals in any of their last five games.

Philadelphia has looked a lot better defensively as of late, with Carter Hart seemingly returning to form. The Flyers have still been using Martin Jones in the net periodically, but the tandem seems to be working well as the Flyers have allowed just 2.22 goals per game in their last nine.

Toronto has been scoring with ease since the return of Auston Matthews this season, and they look like a true force to be reckoned with on that end of the ice.

I think the Flyers will come to play once again defensively and limit the pace the Leafs typically play at. Back the Under here for two units.

Best Bet: Coyotes +1.5 (-140) at Caesars

Wager: 0.5 units

As previously mentioned, we will consider this to be a lean. I don’t like betting on bottom-feeding teams, but I like this spot enough to make it a strong lean.

The Minnesota Wild (8-3-0) have an outstanding record, but it’s a little bit misleading overall. They only carry a goal differential of +1 this season which is not representative of a truly elite team. In fact, across Minnesota’s last seven games, they carry a -3 goal differential.

I know breaking down the Wild for being “less good" than people believe is unfair, especially since they are playing the Coyotes (1-10-1) who are one of the worst teams in the NHL. Still, Arizona is coming off their first win of the season against the Kraken, and I have a feeling that they keep the momentum rolling.

Best Bet: Predators Moneyline (+130)

Wager: 0.5 units

The Preds (6-5-1) have actually been quite good to start the season, beating some tough opponents in the process. They currently have wins over the Flames, Sharks, and Wild under their belt.

Despite not looking purely dominant and winning three one-goal games in their last five, I do not believe the Stars are a better hockey team than Nashville.

I always love Dallas and their defensive effort, but they are a different team this year than in recent seasons. They play faster and their defense has gone by the wayside. Across their last five games, Dallas is surrendering an average of 4.0 goals per game — a hefty mark.

While I do believe the Stars come to play, I think the Predators can exploit the Stars’ scheme. Especially with the plus-odds attached, I like this bet for a small play.
