Travis Kelce 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook
Kelce set new career highs in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TDs while logging over 130 targets for the third-straight year in 2020, showing absolutely no signs of slowing down in his age-30 season. He’ll enter 2021 with the usual sky-high offensive expectations, and he’ll naturally be an integral piece as the Kansas City Chiefs attempt to atone for their Super Bowl LV loss.
Kelce could be even more important than usual to Patrick Mahomes in 2021, considering the team let veteran Sammy Watkins walk in the offseason and will be counting on Mecole Hardman to serve as a full-time No. 2 receiver for the first time. Additionally, there’s not much proven depth behind the speedster, with journeyman Demarcus Robinson qualifying as the most established wideout of the bunch.
Consequently, Kelce’s target count should be at least where it’s been the last three seasons, and if he continues his career-long trend of staying healthy (15 or 16 games played in every season since 2014), the numbers should be there to make him an odds-on favorite to repeat as TE1 when the curtain drops on the ’21 regular season.

Travis Kelce 2021 Fantasy Football Draft Value (PPR)
Kelce’s role, prolific quarterback and his team’s overall lack of true pass-catching depth tee him up for another monster season. It’s also worth noting the All-Pro tight end saw over 20 red-zone touches in 2020 for the third time in the last four seasons; although KC will always have its fair share of quick-strike, long-distance scores with the likes of Tyreek Hill and Hardman roaming the field, Kelce’s outsized usage inside the 20 should once again place him in the upper echelon of all pass-catchers with respect to touchdown production.
