Justin Jefferson 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jefferson will look to build on a very successful rookie season where he led all Vikings receivers in targets and target share. Together, Jefferson and Adam Thielen saw 233 targets for a 48% target share. Chad Beebe had the third-highest target share amongst Minnesota wide receivers at 6.2%. The Vikings didn’t target the position until the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, suggesting both Jefferson and Thielen will continue to be target hogs this season.

Jefferson didn’t start until Week 3 of his rookie campaign, as Olabisi Johnson had the role opposite Thielen in Weeks 1 and 2. From Week 3 on, Jefferson averaged 8.5 targets per game, tied for 10th-most in the NFL. Expect much of the same in 2021, especially as defenses load up the box to stop two-time Pro Bowl RB Dalvin Cook.

Justin Jefferson 2021 Fantasy Football Draft Value (PPR)

The former LSU standout made the most of his opportunities last season. Despite finishing at No. 18 in targets, he churned out the fourth-most receiving yards among wide receivers. The Vikings didn’t add much talent to the wide receiver room this offseason, so there’s no reason to think Jefferson can’t duplicate and potentially improve upon his production from 2020.

Draft him with confidence as a top-10 wide receiver this season.
