Football Team To Win Under 8.5 Games (+100)
Playing in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL, the Washington Football Team have a stronger shot at winning the NFC East division despite not being one of the premier teams in the NFC. Even taking this into account, Washington does not figure to be anything more than a mediocre team this season.
They boast one of the league’s best defenses and have tons of upside offensively considering the youth of the roster. However, we may have seen the peak for Antonio Gibson. Only time will tell.
Looking at their schedule, here are the games I identify as likely ‘winnable’ games for Washington this season:
- Week 2: vs. New York Giants
- Week 4: @ Atlanta Falcons
- Week 11: @ Carolina Panthers
- Week 14: vs. Dallas Cowboys
- Week 15: @ Philadelphia Eagles
- Week 17: vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- Week 18: @ New York Giants
That is a total of seven games. For the NFC East being such a weak division, Washington has a fairly difficult schedule overall.
Football Team Prop Bets 2021: Player Bet Picks
Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel to have OVER 1999.5 combined receiving yards (+160)
2000 yards is a lot to pin on two receivers, but I feel quite strongly that Terry McLaurin can shoulder the majority of the load to help this prop bet hit. He’s in for an absolute breakout this season, and Curtis Samuel isn’t a slouch, either.
This dynamic receiving duo doesn’t have a ton of legitimate competition for targets outside of Antonio Gibson, either, meaning they will likely wind up sharing the full load this season barring injury.
McLaurin had 1,118 receiving yards last season in 15 games and Samuel had 851 receiving yards in 15 games of his own. Considering the schedule is expanding by one extra game, Samuel’s standing as a secondary option in the Washington offense instead of a Carolina afterthought, and McLaurin emerging as a top receiver in the league make this a strong play at (+160).
Football Team to score OVER 3.5 defensive touchdowns (+125)
Washington has one of the best defensive units in all of pro football and had 3 defensive touchdowns all of last season, including a pair of pick-6s and a fumble recovery TD. At (+125) odds, I believe this prop has solid value despite the Washington Football Team failing to reach this threshold last season.
Chase Young, Montez Sweat, and a plethora of other defensive stars could allow this to hit comfortably over a 17-game season.
