2021 NFC West Division Winner Bet: Seattle Seahawks (+280)
The Seattle Seahawks won this division last year and it’s hard to see them coming in third in this division which the odds indicate. The Rams, 49ers, and Seahawks might be in the same tier, but my lean is the team headed by the best quarterback in the division: Russell Wilson.
The Rams will be in their first year with Matthew Stafford under center, and while that is a match made in heaven given the weapons, the Seahawks are still just as good and have actually played together for years as a core. The 49ers are the third-best team in the NFC West. I’m not a believer in Jimmy Garoppolo.
2021 NFC West Division 2nd-Place Finisher Bet: Los Angeles Rams (+200)
The Los Angeles Rams are an excellent football team and could easily win this division. However, I have them as a clear-cut second place above the 49ers and Cardinals. In a division that will be arguably the most competitive in the league, the Rams are a true standout.
2021 NFC West Division Exact Outcome: Seahawks-Rams-49ers-Cardinals (+900)
This is a long-odds bet that I actually believe has a stronger chance of hitting than the 10% implied odds the line carries. If the Seahawks find a way to win this division, I genuinely don’t see a way this bet misses barring significant, standings-altering injuries.
