Bucks vs Suns Game 2 Prop Bets: 2021 NBA Finals Game 2 Prop Betting Picks

Game 1 of the NBA Finals didn’t disappoint. Giannis Antetokounmpo made a surprise return from a knee injury to not only play for the Milwaukee Bucks but log his normal allotment of minutes. Still, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Phoenix Suns star trio of Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton. As we turn our attention to Game 2, here are some props to consider.

Bucks vs. Suns Game 2 Player Prop Bets

Chris Paul Under 2.5 Turnovers: -185 at BetMGM

We hit this wager in Game 1 with Paul committing two turnovers. They both came early, which might have been just some jitters with Paul playing in his first NBA Finals game. He only averaged 2.2 turnovers per game during the regular season and has averaged 2.4 or fewer in four of the last five seasons. Add in the fact that he’s had two or fewer turnovers in 12 of his last 13 games in the playoffs and I’ll go to the well again with the under.

Devin Booker Over 0.5 Steals + Blocks: -225 at BetMGM

This is another wager that we hit in Game 1 with Booker blowing past the over thanks to his three steals. It helped his cause that he played 42 minutes. Heavy playing time has been a trend for him during the playoffs given that he’s averaged 40 minutes per game. That’s helped him generate at least one steal and/or block in 12 of his last 14 games.

Jrue Holiday Over 8.5 Assists: -132 at BetRivers

Giannis went from being listed as doubtful on Monday to playing Tuesday. Not only did he play, but he logged 35 minutes and finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds. That’s a good sign for his prognosis moving forward in this series. Holiday dished out nine assists with Giannis back in the lineup and has generated at least nine assists in six of the last seven games. Like Booker, Holiday’s counting stats have been aided by heavy playing time considering he’s averaged 41 minutes over the last nine games.

Jae Crowder Under 10.5 Points: -122 at BetRivers

This is a bit of a risky wager because Crowder has seen the majority of his shot attempts come from behind the arc. When he’s locked in, he can go off in the scoring column, evident by the 19 points that he scored in Game 6 against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, he’s scored 10 or fewer points in six of his last eight games, thanks in large part to him only averaging 7.1 shots attempts per game. The risk could be worth the reward here.

Second Half Most Points Scored: -150 at BetMGM

This is another wager that we hit on Tuesday with both teams getting off to a bit of a slow start in the first half. Despite the loss, the Bucks were more productive in the second half and may have found something with their small lineup that featured Giannis playing center. If they go small more in the first half of Game 2, it could take the Suns a quarter or two to adjust. I’d expect them to eventually figure out how to exploit it offensively, though, and thrive in the second half.

Winning Margin: Suns by 6-10 Points: +333 at BetMGM

The Suns looked very impressive in Game 1 and they have players with a combination of size and athleticism that can at least somewhat cause issues for Giannis. Paul is locked in right now and has his first NBA title within his reach. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bucks take a game or two once this series shifts to Milwaukee, but as far as Game 2 is concerned, look for the Suns to have another convincing victory.

Bucks vs Suns Prop Bet Picks To Keep An Eye On

If you want to take a chance on some long-shot wagers, here are a couple to consider.

  • Winning Margin Suns by 1-5 Points: +400 at BetMGM
  • Winning Margin Bucks by 1-5 Points: +500 at BetMGM
