The struggling Pirates will start Connor Overton in what should amount to a bullpen game against the Phillies. Their 4.48 team bullpen ERA is the ninth-highest mark in baseball, so the Phillies could be in line to score plenty of runs.
If they do, expect Bryce Harper to be right in the middle of the action. Across his last 48 games, he has 17 home runs and 42 RBI to go along with a .345 batting average.
Lance McCullers Jr., Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels
Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-160)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.63 units)
Lance McCullers has missed plenty of bats this season on his way to recording a 27.5 percent strikeout rate. With regards to this line, he’s recorded at least seven strikeouts in 13 of his last 15 starts.
He faced these same Angles two times during that stretch, recording eight and seven strikeouts, respectively. Across the four times he’s faced them this season, he registered at least seven strikeouts three times.
Michael Pineda, Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays

This seems like a low number to take the under on, but Michael Pineda only has a 19.8 percent strikeout rate this season. He’s been particularly quiet in that department lately, logging three or fewer strikeouts in each of his last six appearances.
That included in his last start against the Blue Jays, in which he recorded just two strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings. The Blue Jays have struck out the second-fewest times in baseball, so Pineda could struggle to miss bats in this game, as well.
