MLB Betting Props of the Day: Best Baseball Prop Picks Today
Corbin Burnes, SP, Milwaukee Brewers @ Atlanta Braves (7:20 p.m. ET)
Over 7.5 strikeouts (-105)
Wager: 1 unit
The Brewers opened around a -120 road favorite against the Braves and are now up to -145, which reflects huge money on Burnes.
Burnes has been a monster in his seven road starts this year, racking up 59 strikeouts against only five walks with a 1.61 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP in 44 2/3 innings. He’s averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game on the road with at least eight punchouts in five of his six away starts that didn’t occur at Coors Field.
Atlanta had a brief stretch where they were not striking out very much, but that ended quickly. The Braves also have the fourth-lowest wRC+ vs. RHP at home in the last 30 days.
My projections have the NL ERA leader with 8.2 strikeouts tonight, making him one of the stronger plays on the board.

Tony Gonsolin, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks (9:40 p.m. ET)
Over 5.5 strikeouts (+110)
Wager: 1 unit
Gonsolin and the Dodgers come into this Friday night road matchup against the Diamondbacks as a strong favorite at -196 with an over/under of 9 total runs. Gonsolin recently faced Arizona on July 11th, striking out six in four innings of one-run ball.
Since then, the D-backs have traded away their best hitter in Eduardo Escobar and are still without Ketel Marte, which is why I have their projected lineup as the third-worst on the slate. The hope is that Gonsolin will be working with a decent lead so that he can extend to the fifth inning and notch at least six punchouts.
Strikeout prop bets have gotten much tougher lately with offense increasing and sharper lines, which means taking more risks. Gonsolin has recorded at least six strikeouts in three of his last six starts, so he’s certainly capable of doing it again.
