Russell Wilson 2020 Fantasy Football Recap
Wilson got off to a remarkable start in 2020, passing for 1,502 yards and throwing 19 touchdowns through his first five games. Russell Wilson 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook
Despite a season in which he established new career-highs in completions (384), pass attempts (558), completion percentage (68.8%) and passing touchdowns, there was legitimate talk early this offseason of a potential Wilson trade, which emanated from his camp. Once a possible deal that reportedly included the Chicago Bears fell through, the focus shifted to the eight-time Pro Bowler returning to Seattle for a 10th season and trying to get his club deeper into the playoffs than last year’s Wild Card round.
Wilson will once again be working with a group of pass-catching incumbents that put up some impressive individual numbers a year ago. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett return as his top two receiver targets, with both players coming off career-best seasons. The wideouts combined for 183 receptions, 1,357 receiving yards and 20 TDs last season and could be even better as they head into another campaign working in tandem with their star quarterback.
Wilson did gain a key new young weapon in tight end Gerald Everett, who, after splitting time with Tyler Higbee in Los Angeles over his first four years, should now have a breakout opportunity as the undisputed top option at his position in the Pacific Northwest.
It’s also worth noting Wilson will have continuity in his backfield. Although veteran Carlos Hyde did depart in the offseason, Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny — two very good pass-catching backs — will return.

Russell Wilson 2021 Fantasy Football Draft Value (PPR)
Not much should change with Wilson and the offense he leads into 2021, which bodes well for his fantasy prospects. As already discussed, the personnel to help him maximize his vast talents is there from a skill-position perspective, although there are certainly concerns about depth at receiver. Trusted third wideout David Moore exited in free agency, leaving Freddie Swain, rookie D’Wayne Eskridge and Penny Hart to step in if either Metcalf or Lockett go down.
However, the key to Wilson’s fantasy value will be an improvement in his offensive line, which allowed the third-highest adjusted sack rate (8.2%) in 2020.
