Washington vs Oregon State Predictions

Last Updated: Nov 14, 2023

If you like offense, you’ll love this matchup. One can expect a packed Reser Stadium this Saturday evening when the No. 10 Oregon State Beavers host the No. 5 Washington Huskies in a Pac-12 heavyweight showdown. Michael Penix Jr. is a frontrunner in the latest Heisman odds.

This matchup features two premier Pac-12 teams, with the Huskies being the lone undefeated squad in the conference. On the other hand, Oregon State will look for its third consecutive victory after a dominant 62-17 outing versus Stanford this past weekend.

Vegas seems to believe this game will be close, so without further ado, let’s look at the best bets and odds for Washington vs Oregon St.

Washington vs Oregon St. Odds

Track our latest CFB odds for Huskies vs Beavers:

NCAAF lines used for Washington @ Oregon St. were current as of Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m. EST on DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Moneyline: Oregon St. (-135) • Washington (+114)
  • Spread: Oregon St. -2.5 (-108) • Washington +2.5 (-112)
  • Total Points: Over 63 (-112) • Under 63 (-108)

According to DraftKings betting trend data, the odds have now completely flipped from what the line originally opened at over five days ago. That could be thanks to the Beavers’ dominant showing at home over the weekend.

Oregon St. originally opened as two-point underdogs and currently sits as 2.5-point favorites over the Huskies with less than 120 hours until kick-off.

Washington vs Oregon St. Prediction

SCORE PICK: Washington 42, Oregon St. 37

Washington has already given college football fans some of the most memorable games of the season, and we could be in for another classic this Saturday night.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer has turned the Huskies’ program around since being named head coach in 2022. Washington’s offense has been one of the best in the nation during his time as head coach and is now averaging over 500 yards per contest en route to its 10-0 record.

While the Huskies’ defense has been shaky all season, keeping up with Michael Penix Jr. and the high-powered Washington offense is much easier said than done.

All things considered, Oregon St. should still be able to keep this one close. The Beavers, like Washington, are undergoing a big program turnaround under head coach Jonathan Smith.

Smith has Oregon State’s offense ranking within the top 20 in the country in most major statistical categories. The Beavers can score as much as any team but have struggled to defend against a heavy pass attack in both losses this season.

There is certainly a possibility that the home favorites find a way to come away victorious, and that’s junior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei continuing what has been a great season for him thus far.

The former Clemson backup has thrown for over 2,200 yards with 20 touchdowns and will be up against a defense that gives up over 400 yards a game. The matchup between Penix Jr. and Uiagalelei will ultimately decide which team comes out on top this Saturday.

Washington vs Oregon St. Best Bets

Washington (+114)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 2 units

Getting a 10-0 squad with a Heisman candidate quarterback at plus money is an opportunity that won’t come around often. Washington has proven time and time again that it can find a way to win close games, and that will likely be necessary here once again.

While the defense has certainly been the weak point for the Huskies, they have shown the ability to lock in when the team needs a stop the most. If this game is to turn into a shootout, as many predict it will, I like Penix Jr. and Washington’s odds of outlasting the Beavers in this one.

Over 63 (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1.5 units

Despite 63 being one of the larger point totals of any college football game this weekend, I can see this one hitting the over fairly easily based on what we know.

Both of these squads currently hold a 6-4 O/U record with 51 and 48 offensive touchdowns a piece. It’s no secret that these offenses score at a high volume, and will now face some defenses that are prone to allowing some high-scoring games as well.

Oregon St. nearly reached this total last weekend, scoring 62 against Stanford.

Washington vs Oregon St. Same Game Parlay

Washington vs Oregon St. SGP (+380)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 units

  • Washington (+114)
  • Over 68 Alternative (+150)

DraftKings’ limited options for a Washington vs Oregon St. same-game-parlay limits us to combining our two best bets but slightly altering the Over for better odds.

I predict the Huskies to remain perfect after this contest, and taking the Moneyline rather than spreads provides slightly better odds at +114.

For the point total, 68 is currently the largest the sportsbook is offering, and I still feel these teams could reach that fairly easily. Feel free to go lower than 68 if you want to secure the SGP slightly more.
