Head coach Kalen DeBoer has turned the Huskies’ program around since being named head coach in 2022. Washington’s offense has been one of the best in the nation during his time as head coach and is now averaging over 500 yards per contest en route to its 10-0 record.
While the Huskies’ defense has been shaky all season, keeping up with Michael Penix Jr. and the high-powered Washington offense is much easier said than done.
All things considered, Oregon St. should still be able to keep this one close. The Beavers, like Washington, are undergoing a big program turnaround under head coach Jonathan Smith.
Smith has Oregon State’s offense ranking within the top 20 in the country in most major statistical categories. The Beavers can score as much as any team but have struggled to defend against a heavy pass attack in both losses this season.
There is certainly a possibility that the home favorites find a way to come away victorious, and that’s junior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei continuing what has been a great season for him thus far.
