Treylon Burks Scouting Report & Fantasy Football Outlook

Last Updated: Apr 29, 2022

The Tennessee Titans shocked the sports world by trading A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft, acquiring the 18th overall pick in the process. The Titans promptly replaced Brown by taking Treylon Burks out of Arkansas to give QB Ryan Tannehill a physical wide receiver to target.

Treylon Burks NFL Draft Outlook

Burks is an intriguing prospect that a lot of people have likened to Brown, which is ironic. At Arkansas, Burks was a versatile wideout who totaled 66 receptions, 1,104 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns in 2021.

Burks should be used heavily in Tennessee’s offense, especially with his playmaking ability.

Treylon Burks Fantasy Football Outlook

Even with the Titans landing Robert Woods in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams this offseason, Burks should instantly become a focal point in Tennessee’s offense as a rookie. While Burks didn’t have gaudy numbers at the NFL Combine, he’s excellent when he has the ball in his strong hands.

Burks didn’t have elite quarterback play at Arkansas, so his production could have been even better if he had more to work with. He should also fare well in Tennessee’s offense, which likes to get the ball out quick.

While he isn’t on the same level as Brown yet, Burks certainly has a WR1 ceiling with the Titans someday if he reaches his full potential. With Woods stealing targets and Tennessee operating a run-heavy offense behind Derrick Henry, however, he doesn’t project to get a ton of volume and will likely be more of a WR3/WR4 this year.
