Pro Football Focus called him one of the best big-play threats in the draft, and our Marcus Mosher had him ranked as the No. 73 prospect on his list of the 150 best draft prospects — ahead of John Metchie III, Christian Watson and Wan’Dale Robinson, who were all picked ahead of him.
Jalen Tolbert Fantasy Football WR Tips
Tolbert is a 6-3, 190-pound receiver who should replace recently departed receivers Amari Cooper, who Dallas traded to the Cleveland Browns, and Cedrick Wilson, Jr.,who had 45 catches and six touchdowns in 2021, but signed a three-year contract with Miami Dolphins in March.
Tolbert is likely to replace Cooper’s big-play ability, but will compete for targets with dynamic receiver CeeDee Lamb, tight end Dalton Schultz, Michael Gallup, and James Washington – who Dallas signed from the Pittsburgh Steelers – as well as running back Tony Pollard.
Tread lightly before targeting Tolbert, at least until his role is more clearly defined.
