Baylor has toppled 16-seed Hartford, 9-seed Wisconsin, and 5-seed Villanova, all by double-digits. Arkansas has had to fight a bit harder since their 17-point win over Colgate in the Round of 64, with wins by just two points against 6-seed Texas Tech and Cinderella 15-seed Oral Roberts.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are an excellent basketball team and while the Baylor Bears may be superior, I don’t personally see them as being worthy of a seven-point laydown. According to Ken Pomeroy’s rankings, Arkansas ranks 17th in the country and Baylor ranks 2nd behind Gonzaga.
There is a very good chance that Baylor wins, but Arkansas covers. Arkansas is one of the best teams in the country defensively — Baylor is one of the best teams in the country offensively. This sets up what is likely to be a battle. It also sets up our pick for the total in this Elite 8 matchup.
The under is the best bet. A grand total of one Baylor or Arkansas game has gone over the 149 total so far in March Madness. In fact, across the six games combined for the two teams, they are covering the under by an average of 14 points.
Given that Arkansas is all offense and Baylor prides themselves on defense, this game could be quite chalky with the total and could potentially go well under. If Arkansas can control pace in this game, however, the over could hit just as it did against Colgate.
We are taking the Razorbacks +7 and under 149 in what is sure to be one of the best battles of the tournament.
