March 25 NBA DFS Picks: Choose Damian Lillard & Jimmy Butler For Fantasy Points

Last Updated: Mar 25, 2021

March 25 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 3/25/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Thursday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

March 25 NBA DFS Picks

Portland Trail Blazers at Miami Heat

MKF Contest: Fantasy Challenge (Win 1.5x your Buy-In if three selected players exceed goal of 136.5 Fantasy Points)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Jimmy Butler, SF, Miami Heat

Butler “slumped” to just 26.7 MKF points in a tough defensive matchup versus the Suns on Tuesday, but he averaged 51 MKF points over his previous 15 contests. The Trail Blazers rank in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency allowed to small forwards as well (23.3 percent), and Portland allows the fourth-highest offensive efficiency at a team, certainly upping the versatile Butler’s prospects.

Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers

Miami’s defensive numbers are solid on paper pretty much across the board, including against point guards. However, as Lillard has proven countless times, he’s capable of putting up a solid fantasy night, at minimum, against virtually any opponent, and he’ll check into Thursday’s game having put up between 36.1 and 68.2 MKF points in 12 of his last 13 games, and at least 45.5 (one-third of the 136.5 goal) in 23 of 42 contests overall. In what should be a wire-to-wire contest, I like Lillard to stay heavily involved and log enough minutes to enable him to make a strong contribution.

Bam Adebayo, C, Miami Heat

Adebayo boasts career highs in points (19.2) and assists (5.4) and has scored 36.6 to 55.0 MKF points in five straight games. The big man has managed at least 45.5 MKF points on nine occasions this season, and the Trail Blazers are surrendering 52.1 MKF points per game to centers, including the fourth-most points per game (24.1) to the position. With Portland vulnerable in three areas where Bam racks up plenty of fantasy production – the Blazers rank in the bottom 10 in rebounds (54.2) and assists (25.2) allowed per game, while the 5.0 blocks per contest they give up on the road is 1.3 per game more than at home – he should be in for a fruitful fantasy night overall.

Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Lakers

MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Ben Simmons, PG, Philadelphia 76ers: More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points

Simmons has averaged 37.7 MKF points in the five games he’s played during Joel Embiid’s current absence, falling short of 39.5 MKF points in four of those contests. However, Simmons is still averaging 43.3 MKF points per 36 minutes with his teammate off the floor this season, and the Lakers come in allowing the second-most MKF points per game (54.7) to point guards over the last 15 while also ranking in the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency (27.3 percent) surrendered to the position. Los Angeles has been a tough defensive team at home, but with LeBron James now out in addition to Anthony Davis, they’re a lot less intimidating in the paint, where over three-quarters of Simmons’ scoring emanates from.

Dennis Schroder PG, Los Angeles Lakers: Less Than 33.5 Fantasy Points

Schroder has averaged 31 MKF points over the first two games LeBron has missed, but he boosted that number with 36.3 against the Pelicans on Tuesday after managing a more modest 25.7 versus the tougher matchup presented by the Suns on Sunday. Thursday, he gets another defensively proficient squad in the 76ers, which ranked No. 3 in defensive efficiency and which have allowed the lowest figure in that category to point guards specifically (23.2 percent). Schroder is not an efficient shooter, either, the Sixers are giving up just 40.8 percent from the floor to PGs. With the veteran having failed to eclipse this benchmark in 28 of 40 games and Philly’s strong across-the-board defensive numbers, I’m in the camp of “Less” prevailing here.
