We have our first major upset in 2021 March Madness with a 15 over 2 victory: Oral Roberts upset Ohio State in the first round of the South region, busting many a bracket in the process.

Oral Roberts (+1000) was naturally a heavy underdog:

Oral Roberts was led by Max Abmas, the leading scorer in the nation. He piled on 29 points with 5 3-pointers, and Kevin Obanor, who put up 30 points and 11 rebounds.

The Summit League champions also won an important battle: free throws. The victorious Golden Eagles were 14-for-18 (77.8%) from the free-throw line, while the Buckeyes struggled at 9-for-18 (50%) from the charity stripe.

Ohio State, meanwhile, also lost the turnover battle at 15-6.

Oral Roberts advances to face seventh-seeded Florida on Sunday in the Round of 32.
