March 19 NBA Prop Bet Tips: Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr.

For Friday, Mike Barner has your March 19 NBA Prop Bet Tips and 3/19/21 NBA Player Prop Bets. All odds were obtained from PointsBet.

A 1-2 mark with my player props picks Wednesday could have easily been 2-1 had Russell Westbrook not followed up a seven-assist first quarter with just three assists the rest of the way. With my season record now 43-49 (-13.78 units), I’ll try to end the week on a high note with three more wagers to consider Friday.

The Bulls have struggled to slow down opposing centers this season, with their last two games being a perfect example of that. First, Moses Brown had 20 points and 16 rebounds against them Tuesday. The Bulls followed that up by allowing 20 points and 16 rebounds to Jakob Poeltl on Wednesday. The last time they faced the Nuggets, Jokic torched them for 39 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists. Give me the over here.

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets vs. Chicago Bulls

Over 16.5 Points (-120)

Porter has been locked in lately, shooting 62.2 percent from the field across the last nine games. That enabled him to score at least 17 points in eight of those contests, which included a 17-point effort against these same Bulls. With the Bulls ranked seventh in the league in pace of play, Porter could be left with plenty of opportunities to contribute in the scoring column.

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings at Boston Celtics

Over 15.5 Points (-115)

Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)

In the Kings’ first game without Marvin Bagley III (hand), we saw them go small, moving Barnes to power forward and inserting Tyrese Haliburton into the starting five. Barnes responded with 18 points against the Wizards, marking the eighth time in the last 10 games that he has scored at least 17 points. While the Celtics have been a good defensive team in recent years, they rank inside the bottom-10 in the league in defensive rating this season, which puts Barnes in a favorable position to hit the over.
