MLB Parlay Bets Today | MLB Parlay Betting Picks 4/19/22

Last Updated: Apr 19, 2022

The 2022 MLB season is in full swing, with us getting a small glimpse of what teams could be contenders, and which ones could be on the outside looking in come playoff time. It’s too early to determine how some teams will finish the season, but it’s never too early to place wagers on the games.

While it’s wise to place straight bets on game or player props throughout the day, it’s fun to place parlays on multiple events to occur. With 17 games on the slate (four teams are making up postponed games), I’ll be discussing my favorite parlay and my favorite longshot parlay for Tuesday.

All MLB gameday odds are current as of Tuesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. ET from BetMGM Sportsbook.

The Yankees will have Gerrit Cole on the mound versus the Tigers on Tuesday. Cole has looked pedestrian in his first two starts, but he gets a much easier matchup here after facing the Blue Jays and Red Sox. He’s in a good spot to earn his first win of the season against Tyler Alexander, who could get roughed up by New York’s righty-heavy lineup.

The Padres also have a clear pitching edge with Joe Musgrove going up against Cincinnati’s Reiver Sanmartin in San Diego. Musgrove has been extra sharp with a 14:0 K/BB ratio over 12 2/3 innings to start the year, while Sanmartin has more walks (five) than strikeouts (four) thus far.

The Brewers’ offense has struggled this year, but they’re well-positioned to score some runs tonight at home against Pittsburgh’s JT Brubaker, who has a career 5.43 ERA and a 4.90 FIP.

Anytime I can get value on the Blue Jays scoring 4+ runs, I’m going to take it. Toronto has scored at least four runs in seven of its 10 games this season, including the last three. Fenway Park is also a high-scoring environment, making this bet the final touch on my MLB parlay pick of the day.

MLB Longshot Parlay Bet Today

Today’s Longshot Parlay (+1077)

  • Toronto Blue Jays Moneyline (+120)
  • St. Louis Cardinals Moneyline (-110)
  • New York Yankees OVER 4.5 Runs (-115)
  • Philadelphia Phillies OVER 4.5 Runs (-200)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Best MLB Longshot Parlay Bet April 19 2022

I’ve already discussed how I like the Blue Jays to score 4+ runs on Tuesday, but I also like the value in taking them to win. While they’re road underdogs against the Red Sox, they’re currently first in the AL East and have beaten Boston in four of their past five matchups.

The Cardinals will travel to face the Marlins on Tuesday as Adam Wainwright squares off against Jesus Luzardo. I’m siding with the superior team in this contest, as St. Louis is 5-3 to begin the season while Miami is 4-5. The Cardinals are also hitting much better at the moment and have won six straight games against the Marlins.

The Yankees are a team I’m targeting tonight with Alexander set to pitch for the Tigers. New York’s lineup has been erratic thus far, but it’s primed to bounce back tonight. The Yankees have multiple guys that mash lefties and Detroit’s bullpen isn’t anything special once Alexander exits.

The Phillies are another team poised to score runs in bunches with a ripe matchup against Kyle Freeland at Coors Field. Freeland has given up five runs in each of his first two starts, so 5+ runs could be in the cards for Philadelphia tonight.
