Week 11 NBA Waiver Wire: More Top Week 11 Fantasy Basketball Pickups

Larry Nance Jr., PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers (54%)

Larry Nance Jr. (finger) remains out-of-commission due to a finger injury. He suffered this on February 6 and is possibly returning to action soon after the All-Star Break despite a 6-8 week timetable. Nance Jr. is a fantastic fantasy asset as we have come to know throughout his time in Cleveland and a finger injury is merely a delay rather than a season-killer. Had this been an elbow or shoulder issue, then more worry would be warranted.

There are rumors afloat regarding Nance Jr. as a trade candidate which could elevate him further. He already is not a prolific scorer, making it tough to change his output there much. While he is seeing a career-high 33.4 minutes-per-game, a dip would be marginal as he performed just as well fantasy-wise in 26.3 mpg last season.

If Nance Jr. is still available in your leagues, pick him up right now and throw him on the IL until he returns. Must grab to a degree with these recent updates.

➕ Larry Nance Jr. FAAB bid range: 10-12% ➕

Kevin Porter Jr., SG/SF, Houston Rockets (22% rostered)

Kevin Porter Jr. has had a bumpy ride throughout his NBA (and even college) career. The sophomore guard is now on his second team and looking to make things right with a chance in a new organization. The Houston Rockets were right to take on KPJ as a “reclamation project" given their lack of young talent. The future is bright for the organization with a high first-round pick coming this year to pair with breakout star Christian Wood but two players do not make a team work. If KPJ were to hit, it’s found money with the minimal assets required to acquire him.

KPJ is not going to be very efficient but if the Rockets decide to give him run as a sixth-man with the ball in his hands, the fantasy upside is plentiful. In 23.2 mpg last season, he averaged 10 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 threes and 0.9 steals per game. He shot 44% from the field, 33% from three, and 72.3% from FT throughout those 50 games and looked better as the season went on. I would expect similar minutes/numbers this year with room for more if Victor Oladipo is traded.

Of course, the role could be stripped from him in an instant if he were to lose focus or perform extremely poorly but the leash is going to be long enough if solely based on performance in-game and practice.

Kevin Porter Jr. FAAB bid range: 5-10%

Dario Saric, PF/C, Phoenix Suns (14%)

Dario Saric has severely plateaued throughout his time in Phoenix. However, he is relatively hot since his return from injury in mid-February. In this span, Saric is averaging 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 threes and a steal in 17.6 minutes per game. His efficiency this season is at a career-high from the field and free throw.

Saric does not present much upside for any roster but he definitely could provide decent end-of-bench stats, especially if those steals remain around one per game. Not a must-add by any means but stream-worth at worst.

Dario Saric FAAB bid range: 1-5%

Sleeper Week 11 NBA Waiver Wire Pickup

Nic Claxton, C Brooklyn Nets (15%)

The Blake Griffin signing muddies the waters for Nic Claxton but Claxton could still provide fantasy value. Assuming that Griffin will play from the end season center spot more often than not as the Nets continue to deploy small-ball, minutes could be at a premium. However, Griffin’s been capped in recent years due to knee issues and has not played in back-to-backs while also receiving rest days throughout stretches to monitor his health. Claxton also could potentially overlap with him at times.

Claxton’s production this season has come in an extremely limited sample but he has shown enough to warrant hope. 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1.4 blocks in 15.1 mpg is insane and even with a new blockade, you should still hold out hope for a role if your roster is in need,

Nic Claxton FAAB bid range: 1-5%
