March 3 NBA Prop Bet Tips: Stephen Curry, Lonzo Ball
For Wednesday, Mike Barner has your March 3 NBA Prop Bet Tips and 3/3/21 NBA Player Prop Bets. All odds were obtained from PointsBet.
Monday brought a 2-1 record with my player prop picks, which improved my season mark to 35-42 (-13.24 units). Wednesday’s 10-game slate provides us with a ton of options to wade through. I’ve identified three that might be worth taking a chance on.
March 3 NBA Prop Bet Tips
Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers
Over 30.5 Points (-125)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.8 units)
Stephen Curry Over 30.5 Pts

This might not seem like an appealing wager given Curry’s recent production. In fact, he has scored fewer than 30 points in six of his last eight games. However, this is a stellar matchup against a Blazers team that has the third-worst defensive rating in the league. The last time these two teams met, Curry scored a whopping 62 points. Prior to that, he scored 26 points against them in an off night in which he shot just 4-for-12 from behind the arc. I like his chances to go off in this contest.
Lonzo Ball, New Orleans Pelicans vs. Chicago Bulls
Over 15.5 Points (-120)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.83 units)
Lonzo Ball Over 15.5 Pts

Bet $20, Payout $37
Ball has been dialed in offensively, scoring at least 16 points in six of his last seven games. During that stretch, he scored at least 20 points four times. This is a favorable matchup for him to continue to score in bunches given that the Bulls have played at the fourth-fastest pace in the league. When they met earlier this season, Ball scored 21 points across 34 minutes.
Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Charlotte Hornets
Over 19.5 Points (-110)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.91 units)
Anthony Edwards Over 19.5 Pts

The Timberwolves are short on scoring options right now with D’Angelo Russell (knee) and Malik Beasley (suspension) out. Edwards has never been shy about jacking up shots, so it should come as little surprise that he will be even busier moving forward. He’s scored at least 21 points in three straight games and he attempted at least 20 shots in all three of those contests. With that kind of usage, give me the over.
