NBA Week 11 Betting Stats & Trends: The Bulls Are The NBA’s Best Road Team Against The Spread

NBA Week 11 Betting Stats: Marcus Mosher brings the latest NBA Week 11 Trends to know.

We have just two days left of NBA action before the All-Star break. To prepare you for these next two nights of games,  here is everything you need to know about betting on the NBA this week.

NBA Week 11 Betting Stats

1. The Bulls are the NBA’s best road team against the spread.

The Chicago Bulls might not be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference this season, but they have been a bettor’s dream so far during the 2020-2021 season. They are currently 18-14-1 against the spread this season, but that doesn’t even begin to describe how much fun they’ve been to bet on this year.

According to TeamRankings.com, the Bulls are the NBA’s best road team when it comes to the spread. They’ve covered in 11 of their 15 road games and they are on the road again on Wednesday night as they will face the New Orleans Pelicans. This could be another great chance for a road cover for the Bulls as the Pelicans are just 8-9 ATS at the Smoothie King Center. Chicago is a 5.5 point underdog in this contest on Wednesday and considering how they’ve played on the road this season, they could prove to be a great value once again.

2. The Nets might be the best team in the NBA.

It’s not surprising to anyone that the Brooklyn Nets are having a ton of success this year. That’s just what happens when you have three superstars on the same team.

However, what might be the most impressive about the Nets this season is how well they’ve played without Kevin Durant (hamstring). The two-time Finals MVP has played just one game since February 6 and yet, the Nets haven’t skipped a beat. They’ve actually won seven of their last eight games without Durant and their only loss came against the Dallas Mavericks in which neither Durant nor Kyrie Irving played in.

Heading into the All-Star break, you can make a strong case that the Nets are the NBA’s best team. And the scary part is, we really haven’t seen them at full-strength yet. As for their matchup on Wednesday night, they are near double-digit favorites over the Rockets despite being on the road. However, that hasn’t been an issue for Brooklyn this season as they are 6-0 against the spread in their previous six road games. Buckle up, Houston. This one could get ugly early.

3. The Rockets are the NBA’s worst team ATS at home.

Speaking of the Rockets, they’ve really struggled after the James Harden trade, as you would expect. There were a few games after the trade in which they played well, but they’ve crashed back to reality since then. Just how bad has it gotten for the Rockets? Well, they are currently on a 12-game losing streak and have failed to cover the spread in five-straight games.

Making matters worse is that they are currently the league’s worst home team against the spread (3-11) and have failed to cover the spread in four-straight home games. With the Nets coming to town tonight, it is likely another loss in a season that Rockets’ fans would love to forget. Don’t expect the Rockets to be very competitive in this game on Wednesday.

4. The Jazz have covered 72 percent of the time as favorites this season.

As the famous saying goes, “good teams win, great teams cover.” That has been true of the Utah Jazz this season, who have the best record in the NBA this year at 27-8. Not only are they winning a bunch of games, but they are also doing an excellent job covering as well with a record of 25-9-1 ATS. What is even more impressive is their ATS record when they are favored this year. According to TeamRankings, they are covering 72 percent of their games (23-9) when they are favored this season. The only team better is the Oklahoma City Thunder (1-0-1), but it’s hard even to count them as they’ve been favored just twice all season long.

The Jazz will have a challenging task on Wednesday night as they will face the 76ers in Philadelphia, who are currently the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers have been fantastic at home this season, winning 15 of 18 games straight up at the Wells Fargo Center. Still, the Jazz find themselves as 3.5-point favorites and that’s a pretty good indication of how this game might go.

5. The Over has hit in 74% of the time for the Pelicans in 2020-2021.

Another reason why the Bulls-Pelicans game is a must-watch on Wednesday night is due to the point total. The total is currently set at an absurd 237.5 points, which still might not be high enough considering these two offenses. Both the Bulls and Pelicans are averaging over 114 points per game as they rank inside the top-eight in scoring offense. It also just happens to be that both teams have bottom five defenses in the NBA, as they are each allowing around 115 points per contest.

For the Pelicans, that has led to a league-high 74 percent of their games hitting the over (25 times in 34 games). The Bulls aren’t far behind as the over has hit in 54.5 percent of their games this season, as well. New Orleans has seen the over hit in six-straight games at home and this one shouldn’t be any different despite the monster point total. Look for this to be a fast-paced, highly entertaining game on Wednesday night by two of the NBA’s better offenses.
