2021 Braves Win Total Bet: How Many Games Will Atlanta Win?

2021 Braves Win Total

Over/Under 91.5 wins (BetMGM)

The Atlanta Braves stand to be the absolute class of the NL East in 2021, a title they have long held now. The division around them is steadily improving with the New York Mets putting in the off-season work under new owner Steve Cohen.

The Braves, however, have little to no reason to be worried about missing the playoffs this season, in my opinion. As long as their rotation can remain healthy and their lineup keeps its swagger and thump, the Braves are the third-best team in the sport.

The offseason was a somewhat quiet one for Atlanta, only going after aging starter Charlie Morton and re-signing both catcher Travis d’Arnaud and outfielder Marcell Ozuna. While the offseason haul was slight, it’s hard to dramatically upgrade a team that was one game away from a World Series appearance.

Ian Anderson, Mike Soroka, and Max Fried should be something of a three-headed rotation monster for the Braves this season, and that all three are so young bodes well for the future. There’s no doubt in my mind that the Braves would have won the World Series in 2020 if Mike Soroka were healthy.

Their lineup is one of the best in baseball with Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuña Jr. standing as two of the best hitters in the sport. Marcell Ozuna has been a steady presence; Ozzie Albies is one of the best all-around second basemen in the game; and Dansby Swanson is on the upward trend.

That doesn’t even mention some of the depth they have on top of that. Their pitching, when healthy, is one of the best staffs in not just the National League, but in the entirety of the sport. This is a quality team well capable of winning 100 games.

2021 Braves Win Total Bet

Over 91.5 wins (-110)

This total seems way too low.

I understand the NL East is one of the best divisions around, but the Braves are the class of it. As I mentioned, the Braves are very capable of winning 92 games at minimum, demonstrated by their 95 win pace in 2021 and 97 wins in 2020. Take advantage of Vegas’s overreaction to the New York Mets’ off-season and cash the Braves’ over.
