It’s win-or-go-home season for football teams, which means it’s the most wonderful time of the year for sports bettors.

The Cowboys always talk about establishing the running game with Ezekiel Elliott, but that always seems like just that: talk. Elliott has rushed for fewer than 48 yards in seven of Dallas’ past nine games. He’s coming off an 87-yard performance against the Eagles in Week 18, but that was against Philly’s backups.
In fact, 1A running back Tony Pollard has outgained Zeke in five of Dallas’ past nine games, and the Cowboys have been feckless running the ball in games against playoff teams.

Dallas was 3-4 in the regular season against teams that made the tournament — with two wins over the Eagles and an OT victory over the New England Patriots before they turned the corner — and averaged about 100 rushing yards per game.
The 49ers defense is also stout against the run. They’re giving up the NFL’s seventh-fewest yards per game (103.5) on the ground, and have surrendered an average of 77.6 yards per game while winning four of their past five. That should force Dallas into a pass-heavy game script, which coach Mike McCarthy tends to prefer anyway, and will likely leave Zeke falling short of the Over.
