NFL DFS Best Picks Week 17 | ThriveFantasy Daily Fantasy Props To Play

Last Updated: Jul 14, 2023

With many people being eliminated from their season-long fantasy football leagues, it gives you another reason to play NFL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) this week. If you’re looking for a way to combine the fun of betting and fantasy football, ThriveFantasy may be the perfect site for you.

Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, ThriveFantasy has users pick over or under specific stat categories for players. Picking the more unlikely option rewards the user more points. You are competing with other users who have entered the contest to earn the most points. The user with the most points wins the most money.

There are other game formats on ThriveFantasy, including a touchdown-only contest, which is self-explanatory. For the sake of this article, we will be giving picks for the typical game format.

Now that you understand how ThriveFantasy works, let’s get into the DFS football predictions series for Week 17!

Prop stats information for NFL DFS Week 17 picks are current as of Thursday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. ET.

NFL DFS Week 17: ThriveFantasy Daily Fantasy Sports

Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts vs Las Vegas Raiders

OVER 108.5 Rushing Yards

Jonathan Taylor is a monster. Everyone knows this. This week, he will get his offensive line back healthy, after three guys were out with COVID last week. Despite having a greatly weakened offensive line, he still ran for 108 yards. Prior to that game, he ran for at least 109 yards in five of his previous six games.

The Raiders’ run defense is average by all accounts. Their offense, on the other hand, has really struggled. This points to a positive game script for Taylor and his rushing yards.

Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs

OVER 22.5 Completions

Yes, Joe Burrow is coming off a 525-yard passing day. That’s great, but the Chiefs will actually be playing defense this week. What’s nice about this pick is that Kansas City will be playing offense too. The Chiefs are playing like the best team in the NFL right now, and the Bengals will need to pass to hang in this game.

Burrow clearly went over this prop line last week, completing 37 passes. However, he has completed at least 23 passes in three of his past four games. The Chiefs have allowed 23.9 completed passes per game this season. Due to their offense playing so well recently, their completions allowed have risen to 27.7 over their past three games. Again, this is due to their opponents being forced to pass the ball to stay in the game.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams @ Baltimore Ravens

OVER 0.5 Receiving Touchdowns

Death, taxes and Cooper Kupp leading his team in receiving. Kupp has been an absolute monster this season. He has 283 more receiving yards than Justin Jefferson, and 26 more receptions than the Davante Adams. Oh, and Kupp has 14 receiving touchdowns, which is three more than Mike Adams has as well.

The Ravens have allowed three passing touchdowns per game over their past three matchups, and Kupp has at least one receiving touchdown in three of his past four weeks.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams @ Baltimore Ravens

OVER 2.5 Passing TDs + Interceptions

Whether you think Matthew Stafford is going to come in and light up the Ravens or if you think he will struggle, picking the over on this prop makes too much sense. Obviously, the injuries in the Baltimore secondary have taken their toll. Look no further than Burrow’s 500-yard game last week. Stafford should be able to have a solid passing day.

However, he is also in a bit of a slump, throwing three interceptions last week. Guess what? A three-pick day still works for us here. He has over 2.5 combined passing touchdowns and interceptions in 10 straight games.
