Georgia vs Alabama DFS Picks | Underdog Daily Fantasy Player Props For CFB National Championship Game

Last Updated: Jan 7, 2022

The biggest game in college football is here, as No. 1 Alabama is set to take on No. 3 Georgia in the National Championship. This is not only a rematch from this year’s SEC Championship game, but a rematch of the 2018 National Championship as well.

If you want to bring some more excitement to the big game, play CFB Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) this Monday and enjoy the game even more at Underdog Fantasy.

Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, Underdog Fantasy has users build their own parlays by selecting Over or Under on up to five specific player props instead. The more props you select, the higher the multiplier on the entry fee.

Another unique game on Underdog is called “Rivals," a similar game to choosing the player Over/Under, except this is player vs. player. You choose a player you think will have the better performance in the category. The underdog will have a spread, as well.

Now that you understand how Underdog Fantasy works, it’s time to give you my DFS football picks and predictions for the College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.

They don’t call me the “Head of Winning" at Underdog Fantasy for nothing.

Prop stats information for CFB National Championship picks are current as of 6:00 p.m. ET on Friday, January 7.

Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia: UNDER 246.5 Passing Yards

There are some concerns regarding Alabama’s offense, but I don’t see much concern with their defense.

With that being said — and Georgia being the favorite — this looks to be a game where they run the ball more and run a more balanced offense than they did in the SEC Championship against Alabama, giving Stetson Bennett fewer opportunities to throw.

One interesting narrative to keep in mind for this game is that Jalen Hurts was benched in the 2018 National Championship when these two teams played. There’s been chatter about Bennett having a short leash, so they could elect to go with a backup if Georgia falls behind early.

Zamir White, RB, Georgia: OVER 53.5 Rushing Yards

James Cook got a lot of action in the Semifinal game against Michigan, and while he’s a good back, Zamir White is the feature back in this offense.

This is a pretty low line for a team that likes to run the ball, so I like White to go Over 53.5 here.

Brock Bowers, WR, Georgia: UNDER 75.5 Receiving Yards

I’m pairing the Brock Bowers Under with the Bennett Under here. Bowers will need to rack up a lot of catches to get to this number, and I don’t see that happening given how high it’s set.

George Pickens is at 38.5 receiving yards on Underdog, and I see him being the X-Factor for Georgia in this one — not so much Bowers.

Bryce Young, QB, Alabama: OVER 317.5 Passing Yards

The patch of victory for the Crimson Tide is through Bryce Young‘s arm, whether they’re playing from behind or taking the lead from the start.

Young dominated in the SEC Championship against Georgia, throwing for 421 yards and 4 total touchdowns. I don’t see why he can’t do the same in the National Championship.

Brian Robinson, RB, Alabama: UNDER 65.5 Rushing Yards

Given that Brian Robinson popped off in the Semifinals against Cincinnati (198 rushing yards), this feels like a trap line.

Everyone knows how good the Bulldogs’ defensive front is, so it’s not a crazy thought to go with the Under here.

Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama: OVER 115.5 Receiving Yards

This is my favorite pick out of all of them, and this is a perfect opportunity to hit Jameson Williams‘ Over. In last year’s National Championship game, questions were raised about DeVonta Smith‘s line being too high, and he had 215 yards by halftime.

In the SEC Championship, the Crimson Tide dominated the Bulldogs through the air, especially Williams, who had 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. Look for him to have a repeat performance.

CFB National Championship: Underdog Fantasy Rivals Picks

Users can parlay up to five CFB rivals picks together to win up to 20 times your entry fee.

Passing Yards: Stetson Bennett (+69.5) vs Bryce Young

My Pick: Bryce Young

As I mentioned earlier, Georgia will have a more balanced offense this time around and will look to focus on the run more, leading to fewer opportunities for Stetson.

Young had a quiet day through the air last game against Cincinnati, throwing for only 181 yards. With Georgia having the more dominant run defense, look for the Crimson Tide to air it out.

Rushing Yards: Zamir White (+11.5) vs Brian Robinson

My Pick: Zamir White

While White didn’t have the biggest performance last game and Robinson did, I still think it’ll be flipped here. Georgia will look to run more, giving White more chances to have the ball in his hands.

I also don’t foresee Robinson replicating his performance against Cincinnati, as I’m already taking his Under in this matchup.

Receiving Yards: Brock Bowers (+39.5) vs Jameson Williams

My Pick: Jameson Williams

This is the perfect spot for Williams to have a big game. John Metchie III will miss the game for Alabama, which leaves Williams as the top target for Young.

Williams was going up against the top cornerback in the country in the Semifinal game, as he was held to 62 yards against Cincinnati. Look for Williams not to have the same performance as last game.
