Another aspect working in the Chiefs’ favor is their improved health. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has played in the last two games after missing four straight contests due to injury. Across those two contests, he has 158 total yards and a touchdown.
During their five-game winning streak, the Chiefs also played the Raiders, beating them 41-14 in Las Vegas. Patrick Mahomes was the driving force in that matchup, throwing 406 yards and five touchdowns.
Already without Darren Waller (knee) last week, the Raiders then lost Kenyan Drake to a broken ankle against Washington that will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
Even if Waller returns, it’s difficult to envision the Chiefs losing this game at home, especially considering they are 5-2 at home this season.

It’s encouraging that these two teams combined for 55 points the last time around, even with the Raiders struggling to score. While an injury to Drake is noteworthy, the Raiders still have Josh Jacobs in their backfield.
Last week, Jacobs finished with 90 total yards and a touchdown, marking the third time he has registered at least 90 total yards over the previous five games.
The Raiders defense is the reason why the over is appealing in this matchup. They have allowed at least 32 points in three of their last four games, including that 41-point outburst by the Chiefs.
With the assumption that the Chiefs can at least score 30 points in this game, the Raiders won’t need to do a ton on offense to help push the total past the over, making this our NFL pick of the day.
Best Bet: Raiders +10 (-110) at Caesars

The lopsided score the last time these two teams met is a bit worrisome. However, the Chiefs are only 2-5 against the spread at home this season.
When these two teams met in Kansas City last year, the Raiders pulled off a 40-32 win. They lost when these two teams played in Las Vegas, but barely, with the final scoring being 35-31 in favor of the Chiefs.
If the Raiders could get Waller back from injury, that would provide a huge boost for their chances of keeping this game close. But, even if he can’t play, look for the Raiders to keep things fairly close against their divisional foe.
