Jaguars vs Rams Predictions Week 13 | NFL Pick of the Day

Last Updated: Dec 3, 2021

When it rains, it pours, especially for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars are coming off a 21-14 loss at home against the floundering Atlanta Falcons. This week, they’ll go up against another team in the Los Angeles Rams that lost 36-28 to the Green Bay Packers.

For rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, it has been a rough rookie season. Prior to Week 12, Lawrence ranked as the 37th passer, according to Pro Football Focus’s grading system.

Week 12 saw Lawrence throw his 10th interception and his ninth touchdown on the season.

On the road against a Rams defense that comes equipped with Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Jalen Ramsey, and more will be nothing short of a shellacking.

Let’s see how we can make some money in this one.

Please note that all NFL gameday odds and lines are current as of 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday, December 3.

Jaguars vs Rams Prediction

Hot take: The Rams will win this game.

More seriously, though, there’s really not going to be any kind of contest here. The Rams have an offense that has definitely taken a hit without wide receiver Robert Woods but is still feared with Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. in the lineup.

The Jaguars’ defense has not been anything special this season.

Cornerback Shaquill Griffin, who missed last week’s game, has been their best coverage player, and edge-rusher Josh Allen has been fantastic, but there are just too many holes beyond that. There’s no way they can contain this offense.

Going back to the Jaguars’ offense, there’s not much that needs to be said here. Their top options in the passing game are Marvin Jones Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr., who they still have yet to use correctly.

The Rams will win big at home.

Prediction: Rams 31, Jaguars 7

Jaguars vs. Rams Best Bets

Best Bet: Rams -13 (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 1 Unit

This is going to be an absolute blowout. The Jaguars may only score when/if the backups come in or in garbage time. There doesn’t appear to be any scenario where the Jaguars can remotely stick with the Rams.

Ramsey will have a heck of a time this week going up against the likes of Jones Jr. and Shenault Jr. Unless the Rams treat this as an easy win going into it by making mistakes, I cannot fathom a reality in which the Jaguars cover this number.

Shoot, I’d take the Rams -20.

Best Bet: Rams Moneyline (-700) at Caesars

Wager: 1 Unit

At -700, there’s probably really no point here, but at the same time, it would take a miracle for the Jaguars to win this game.

Sure, the same could have been said a few weeks ago when they beat the Bills at home, but this Rams team has too much high-level talent to allow something like that to happen.

The Rams take an easy win here.

Best Bet: Under 48 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 1 Unit

At close to a 50 total, this would mean that the Rams would need some added help from the Jaguars.

The Jaguars have scored more than 20 points just three times this season, and their season-high in points is 23.

After scoring just 14 this week against the Falcons and 10 against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11, I cannot see how they top that total against the Rams unless, again, the backups come in after the Rams are up big.

The Rams should clear 30, but that still requires some help from the Jaguars.

Unless the Rams can put up 40, the Jaguars lack of offensive production will lead to an under.
