NHL Bets of the Day 11/29/21
Seattle Kraken at Buffalo Sabres, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Sabres Moneyline (+125) at Caesars
The Seattle Kraken (7-13-1) have been one of the worst teams in the NHL. They have really struggled on the road (2-7-1) and have not shown much improvement in their last 10 games (3-7-0). Seattle is currently allowing 3.48 goals per game, which ranks 29th in the NHL.
Despite this, they’re coming into this game as -145 road favorites against the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres (8-10-3) haven’t been a good team, but they’ve played better hockey at home (6-5-1). The only reason why they’re home underdogs against a similarly mediocre team is that backup goalie Dustin Tokarski is projected to start in goal.
Tokarski currently sports a 3.05 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. While he’s just an average goalie, that doesn’t mean that the Kraken should be such significant favorites on the road. Take the value with the Sabres here.

Vancouver Canucks at Montreal Canadiens, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Canadiens Moneyline (-125) at Caesars
The Vancouver Canucks (6-14-2) have hit rock bottom, going 1-8-1 in their last 10 games. Vancouver is only scoring 2.27 goals per game (29th) while allowing 3.27 per game (27th). They have really had a difficult time killing penalties, as their 62.3% success rate ranks 32nd in the NHL.
The Canucks take on the lowly Montreal Canadiens (6-15-2), who have been a bad team as well, but they’re better at home (4-6-1) and are coming off an impressive 6-3 road win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
While it’s always risky to take a favorite with a bad record, I believe that this Canucks team is simply free-falling right now, in desperate need to move on from head coach Travis Green. Ride with the Canadiens in this spot.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Calgary Flames, 9:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Penguins/Flames Under 5.5 Total Goals (-115) at Caesars
The Under is 10-10 in Penguins games and 11-10 in Flames games. The Under is 4-1 in Pittsburgh’s last five games, as they’ve done a great job preventing goals, allowing one or fewer in five of their last six.
Both starting goaltenders have been fantastic this season. Tristan Jarry has put up a 1.91 goals-against average and .936 save percentage, while Jacob Markström has posted a 1.81 goals-against average and .937 save percentage. Goals could be hard to come by in this game.
Ride with the Under in this one.
