World Series Predictions 2022 | Early Odds, Lines, & Picks for MLB World Series Champion

Last Updated: Sep 22, 2022

Thanks for navigating to The Game Day’s MLB wagers coverage. Head to our new World Series Odds page.

The Atlanta Braves’ triumph over the Houston Astros in the 2021 World Series capped an exciting MLB postseason that was full of twists and turns. Despite finishing with the fewest regular-season wins (88) of any team to reach the playoffs, the Braves went on to win their first title since 1995.

With another dramatic and entertaining baseball season in the books, it’s time to start looking ahead to next year. Will Atlanta be able to defend its title? Or will another team rise to the top?

While a lot will change between now and next Opening Day, let’s gaze into our crystal ball and make some 2022 World Series predictions and best bets.

What Are The 2022 World Series Odds For All 30 MLB Teams?

While these lines will likely shift as teams re-tool their rosters over the next few months, here are the full 2022 World Series odds from Caesars Sportsbook as of Thursday, November 4:

Best World Series Bets

Chicago White Sox To Win 2022 World Series (+1200) at Caesars

The Chicago White Sox have emerged as legitimate championship contenders over the past two seasons. They’re a balanced team that features a dangerous lineup along with a pitching staff that compiled the second-lowest ERA in the American League last season.

With a tremendous core already in place, Chicago is well-positioned for additional success in 2022. If they can add some thump to their outfield and either re-sign or replace Carlos Rodon this offseason, they’ll be in good shape to make a deep run next year and avenge their ALDS exit to the Astros.

The AL Central is also perhaps the weakest division in baseball, as the White Sox were its only team to finish with a winning record in 2021. Chicago shouldn’t face much resistance for the divisional crown and will likely repeat as AL Central champions in 2022, making their postseason path a bit easier.

Tampa Bay Rays To Win 2022 World Series (+1400) at Caesars

The Tampa Bay Rays have compiled the American League’s best record in each of the past two seasons, winning a franchise-best 100 games in 2021 despite losing ace Tyler Glasnow midway through the year to Tommy John surgery.

While Glasnow will likely miss all of 2022 as well, Tampa Bay remains one of the deepest and most complete teams in baseball. Their lineup scored the second-most runs in the AL last year while their pitching staff allowed the fewest, resulting in an impressive +206 run differential.

Several Rays rookie pitchers also earned valuable postseason experience during their ALDS loss to the Boston Red Sox, which should serve them well when they inevitably return to the playoffs next fall.

Toronto Blue Jays To Win 2022 World Series (+1800) at Caesars

The Toronto Blue Jays started slowly last year but came on like a freight train, winning 91 games and finishing one win shy of a postseason berth. They ended the season with an outstanding +183 run differential, reflecting the talent level of a 99-win team.

Led by 2021 MVP candidate Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto boasts the scariest collection of young hitting talent in baseball. The lineup will remain fearsome even if Marcus Semien departs in free agency, especially if George Springer stays healthy.

The biggest key for the Blue Jays will be making sure they have enough starting pitching with Robbie Ray and Steven Matz both hitting free agency, although having a full season of Jose Berrios will help. Competing in the AL East is never easy, but Toronto looks like a team on the rise.

World Series Predictions 2022

Los Angeles Dodgers To Win 2022 World Series (+550) at Caesars

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the most games of any team in baseball last year, amassing 112 victories between the regular season and playoffs combined. Perhaps that’s why they enter the offseason as World Series favorites despite being eliminated by the Braves in the NLCS, falling two wins shy of their fourth pennant in five years.

The Dodgers will have to make some tough choices to make this winter with Max Scherzer, Clayton Kershaw, Corey Seager, Kenley Jansen, and others all up for free agency, but Los Angeles has the financial capabilities and internal talent to replace them if needed.

While their core may look a bit different next year, the Dodgers are still loaded at nearly every position and will be strong candidates to win their second World Series title in three seasons, making them our MLB bet of the day.
