While there is a very small slate on Wednesday, there is a lot of value to be had on your NHL parlays. It is atypical to find enough value to justify a strictly-NHL parlay on a two-game slate, but I’m confident regardless. Let’s take a look at four of my favorite NHL parlay pieces that you should be adding to your bets.
All odds and lines are courtesy of DraftKings and are current as of 6 AM ET on Wednesday, October 20.

2021 NHL Parlay Picks & Predictions
NHL Parlay for October 20 (+755)
Wager: 0.5 units to win 3.78 units
- Bruins Moneyline/Over 5.5 Goals Game Parlay (+190)
- Golden Knights Moneyline/Over 5.5 Goals Game Parlay (+195)
Note: All four selections are available separately, but DraftKings offers a feature where you are able to take game parlays and parlay them together. The reason I did this was because I specifically wanted Bruins/Flyers over 5.5 goals instead of 6 and this is the only way it was offered. We will talk about each selection individually.
Bruins Moneyline (-140) at DraftKings
The Bruins are the better team on paper next to the Philadelphia Flyers and I have not particularly been impressed with the Flyers through two games. Goalie Carter Hart looks as beatable as he did last season and the Bruins have the offense to exploit him. Boston will have goalie Jeremy Swayman in the net on Wednesday, but despite his inexperience, he looked fantastic against a competent Dallas Stars team on opening night.
Bruins/Flyers Over 5.5 Goals (-120) at DraftKings
As I mentioned in the note above, the 5.5 goals line cannot be bought on standard parlays and must be used as a game parlay at the moment. The total opened at 5.5 on most books, but has since moved up. While I wouldn’t necessarily mind the Over on the total of 6, the total of 5.5 provides a lot more value. With the shaky Carter Hart in the net for the Flyers and a rookie goaltending for Boston, there is some potential for a high-scoring shootout between these two teams.
Golden Knights Moneyline (-135) at DraftKings
Vegas has been disappointing to start this season, but I’m identifying their upcoming matchup against the St. Louis Blues as the game where they re-find themselves. After barely squeaking by the Seattle Kraken and getting blown out by the Los Angeles Kings, I expect them to head into their third game of the season with a vengeance. The Blues are a capable team, but Vegas is elite when all things click for them.
Blues/Golden Knights Over 5.5 Goals (-120) at DraftKings
I find this total to be a tad too low for the type of offense the Golden Knights and Blues possess. Vegas will be without both of their star wings Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty, but they have enough scoring options outside of them to put a solid performance together. The Blues, though, are the current highest-scoring team in the NHL, putting five goals together against the excellent Colorado Avalanche defense and then scoring seven times against the Arizona Coyotes on the road. Expect both teams to do their fair share of scoring.
