Raiders vs Broncos Week 6 Prop Bets: Las Vegas Total, First To 20 Points & More

Last Updated: Oct 15, 2021

After starting the year off red-hot, the Las Vegas Raiders have seen it all come crashing down in a relatively short period of time. With back-to-back losses against the Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bears, the Raiders are now with an interim head coach following Jon Gruden‘s resignation.

The Denver Broncos, on the other hand, are also coming off of back-to-back losses against the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Raiders are 4-point road underdogs in this game with a 44 point total, implying 24 points for Denver and 20 for Las Vegas. Here, we will look at some props that have some excellent value for you to take advantage of.

All odds are courtesy of Betfred Sportsbook as of Friday, October 15 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Raiders vs Broncos Prop Bets: NFL Week 6 Prop Betting Picks

Las Vegas Raiders Under 20.5 Total Points (-130) at Betfred

With an implied total of around 20 points, even Betfred is anticipating this line of 20.5 points to go under.

While quarterback Derek Carr has played considerably well this season, he definitely plays his worst football when under pressure. According to Pro Football Focus, Carr has been pressured on over 34 percent of his dropbacks. In those situations, he’s completed less than 45 percent of his passes and thrown 3 interceptions.

This Broncos team may have struggled to get a ton of pressure last week, but generally speaking, it is what they are known for. Against this Raiders offensive line which is one of the worst in the league, Carr will be under siege all game.

This could very well be a spot in which Carr peppers tight end Darren Waller for targets, but in the end, the team will fall under 20.5 total points, making this our NFL bet of the day.

Total Sacks Over 5.5, Broncos First to 20 Points (+280) at Betfred

Betfred offers a Parlay+ tool in which you can create a betslip with 2 or more prop bets. This bet comes courtesy of that.

Going back to Carr and being under pressure, he has taken 15 sacks and has endured 77 total pressures. That, combined with the Raiders and DE Maxx Crosby getting in there for perhaps a sack or two makes the Over appealing in this game.

As far as reaching the 20-point threshold, we’ve already discussed the Raiders going under that total. For the Broncos, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be able to effectively throw downfield against a defense that, while it has played relatively well, does have its holes.

Additionally, look for Denver’s defense to put them in excellent field position throughout the game, as is reflected in the NFL gameday odds.

Total Over 42.5, Broncos Over 19.5 Points (-111)

Going back to the Parlay+ betting option at Betfred, we find another combination that caters to what we’ve already worked through here in terms of the Broncos points.

In a game where the Broncos should control the field — especially at home — and an implied team total from Betfred north of that, the Broncos should without a doubt reach 20 points.

As far as the over on 42.5 is concerned, while it’s true that Carr struggles under pressure, he can slice up opposing defenses when he’s given proper time to operate. After all, the Raiders signal-caller has already thrown for 1,605 yards and 8 touchdowns this season.

The Broncos will be able to get pressure, but there will be times in this game where offensive line variance will swing in favor of Carr and the Raiders will score.

The Broncos will win this game 27-18.
