Both clubs will be looking to bounce back in Week 3, with the Chiefs returning to Arrowhead Stadium to host their AFC West rivals. Chargers vs Chiefs Prediction
After splitting their first two games, the biggest concern for the Chargers has to be their rushing attack, which has been held below 100 yards in both contests. Meanwhile, they allowed more than 200 yards on the ground to Dallas in Week 2. Controlling the run game on both sides of the ball will be critical to defeating Kansas City, as Baltimore proved last Sunday.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, have been exposed defensively by allowing 65 points over the first two games combined. Kansas City’s defense will need to tighten up against a Los Angeles offense that could be poised to break out after scoring just 37 points during the first two weeks combined.
While neither team is firing on all cylinders yet, this should be an entertaining matchup between two of the league’s best passers. Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert have thrown for over 330 yards in all four of their games this year, combining for eight touchdowns through the air.
Both teams will put points on the board, but Kansas City has the edge with Mahomes at home. Look for the Chiefs to prevail in a tightly contested affair in Week 3.

I really like the Over here. Kansas City is always a threat to put up a ton of points, but they can be scored on. While the Chargers’ offense has been a disappointment thus far, they have the weapons to respond to Chiefs drives and keep the game close.
With so much offensive talent on both sides, this game has the potential to be one of the highest-scoring contests of the week. Give me the Over.

As mentioned, Kansas City’s defense has been giving up points left and right this year. The Chiefs have only outscored their opponents by three total points despite ranking third in points scored.
If LA’s defense can slow Kansas City down just a little bit, Herbert and co. should be able to score enough points to keep the game close and cover the spread. While I think the Chiefs will win, I don’t expect it to be by a full touchdown.

The Chiefs haven’t looked like their dominant selves this year and may be vulnerable against an improving Chargers team that has played two great games thus far. With Kansas City still working out the kinks on defense, Los Angeles could take advantage and pull off the upset.
