Bet $1 & Get $200 Free DraftKings Promotion | New Player Signup Promo for Betting on College or Pro Football

Last Updated: Sep 11, 2021

Football is finally back! With college football already underway and the 2021 NFL season opener just around the corner, there is money to be had for new DraftKings customers!

DraftKings Bet $1 & Get $200 Promo

Between college football and the NFL, there’s no shortage of football betting options this time of year. If you’re looking for a place to make football bets, DraftKings has a generous new user promotion offered through the DraftKings Sportsbook App (available for both iOS and Android).

If you do not have a DraftKings Sportsbook account yet, you can sign up and get $200 in free bets.

All you have to do is deposit $5 and make a $1 bet on any regular-season NFL or NCAAF game by September 13.

After your bet is in, you’ll be rewarded with eight $25 free bets totaling $200 altogether.

The best strategy for a free bet is to use it on a longshot, as you only get the winnings on a winning bet and not your initial stake.

For example, if you use a $25 free bet on a -200 moneyline favorite, you would only get $12.50 if your bet wins. However, if you use a $25 free bet on a +300 moneyline underdog and it wins, you get $75 in cash.

Below, I’ll go over the terms and conditions of this DraftKings new user promo and some ideas for what bets you can use your free bets on, which can be used on any sport.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Only available to customers in CO, IA, IL, IN, MI, NJ, PA, TN, VA, and WV.
  2. $5 Min deposit
  3. $1 Min bet on NCAAF or NFL regular season by 9/13
  4. 21+ only
  5. Excludes live bets, parlays, free bets, cash out bets, and voided bets

DraftKings Sportsbook Free Bet Ideas

Texas A&M To Win National Championship (+3000)

Many sites offer the Texas A&M Aggies to win the National Championship at +4000, but even at +3000 it’s worth a $25 free bet that could pay $750. The Aggies play in the SEC which is the best conference in college football, so if they lose only one game as they did last year then they could easily make the playoffs.

TAMU returns nine starters on a defense that allowed just 317.3 yards per game last season, which was the best in the SEC. If Texas A&M can beat Alabama at home this season, they stand a good chance of reaching the postseason and potentially winning the college football national championship.

BYU Moneyline (+190) vs. Utah 9/11

The BYU Cougars will host the Utah Utes in a non-conference rivalry game. BYU is coming off an 11-1 season in which their only loss was to Coastal Carolina, who finished the season ranked 14th.

BYU finished the 2020 season ranked 11th, while Utah ended the year unranked. Even though the Cougars lost quarterback Zach Wilson to the New York Jets this offseason, they still return seven starters to an offense that ranked third in the FBS with 43.5 points per game last year.

At +190 against Utah, BYU merits a $25 free bet which would pay $47.50 if they win.

New Orleans Saints To Win Super Bowl (+3000)

The New Orleans Saints are coming off four straight NFC South division titles, including a first-place finish last year despite sharing a division with Tom Brady and the eventual Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That run appears in danger of coming to an end, however, following the offseason retirement of Drew Brees.

Despite Brees’s retirement, I’m bullish on the Saints this year as their strengths last season were their stout defense and an explosive running game led by Alvin Kamara. With Jameis Winston taking the reins as QB under head coach Sean Payton, New Orleans is still a dangerous and well-balanced team.

At +3000 to win it all, they are worth a shot as a $25 free bet would pay $750 if they go all the way.

Philadelphia Eagles To Win NFC East (+500)

Going to the racetrack with my grandpa as a kid taught me an important gambling lesson: There are some races where all the horses are awful, but someone has to win.

That lesson certainly applies to the NFC East, where one of its four lousy teams must finish first this year. My NFC East best bet is on the biggest longshot in the Philadelphia Eagles, who have a promising young quarterback in Jalen Hurts and appear to be trending up.

At +500, a $25 free bet on the Eagles would pay $125 if they win the division.
