New England Patriots 2021 Win Total Bet: Schedule, Changes, and Outlook

Last season was not a true reflection of the post-Tom Brady New England Patriots. Former MVP Cam Newton came in and looked incredible for two games before catching COVID-19, which seemed to derail his season. The defense was ravaged by opt-outs and departures, and the offensive skill corps was severely lacking.

With the additions of Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, and Nelson Agholor on offense, Newton will have much better weapons at his disposal this year. The defense should also be stronger after adding Matt Judon, Davon Godchaux, Henry Anderson, and Kyle Van Noy, not to mention the return of Dont’a Hightower. The losses on both sides of the ball were minimal as the secondary and OL return almost every starter, while the youth along the front seven should continue to improve.

Most importantly, Newton is reportedly healthy for the first time in nearly half a decade. Even if he does falter and fail to improve on a disappointing 2020 performance, 2021 first-round draft pick Mac Jones is waiting in the wings.

Whereas New England’s roster was severely depleted before last season even began, Bill Belichick has far more depth and options this year. They’ll also have a full preseason to mesh and get on the same page before the regular season starts.

After going 7-9 last year, the Patriots have a relatively easy schedule this year. The AFC East will be competitive with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, but New England should benefit from softer matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers, and New York Jets (twice).

New England Patriots 2021 Win Total Bet Pick

Patriots To Win Over 9.5 Games In 2021-22 NFL Regular Season (-105)

We’re going to see Belichick in his most terrifying form this year — angry. He’s coming off his first losing season in 20 years and just witnessed his ex-quarterback win a Super Bowl elsewhere. There’s a reason the Patriots went bananas this offseason.

New England’s roster is much improved on both sides of the ball, which should lead to a multi-win improvement. The Patriots have won double-digit games 18 times in Belichick’s 20-year tenure, so last season was clearly a fluke. Look for Belichick and the Pats to restore order this year and reclaim their status among the league’s better teams.
