Allen Robinson 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

Throughout his career, Robinson’s obvious receiving talents have been suppressed by mediocre quarterbacks from Blake Bortles in Jacksonville to Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles with Chicago. Nevertheless, the former Pro-Bowler has still managed to exceed 1,000 receiving yards three times, including last year when he tallied a career-high 102 receptions.

After a disappointing debut with the Bears in 2018, Robinson has racked up 200 receptions, 2,397 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns over the past two seasons combined. Regardless of who’s throwing him the ball, he’s managed to remain a solid WR2 thanks to his elite skill set.

This year, Robinson will have to establish chemistry with at least one new signal caller. While Andy Dalton is expected to start the season for Chicago under center, it won’t be long before rookie Justin Fields takes over. Either way, Robinson will remain the team’s top receiving option. While Darnell Mooney may see an expanded role in his second season, Robinson should continue to receive a steady stream of targets.

Entering his eighth season, Robinson will once again have to make do with a middling quarterback, at least for a little while. Fields will eventually give Chicago’s offense — and Robinson’s fantasy value — a boost, but he may struggle initially in his first taste of the NFL. Robinson should put up strong numbers again regardless, but unpredictable quarterback play may ultimately prevent him from providing WR1-caliber production.

Allen Robinson 2021 Fantasy Football Draft Value (PPR)

While Robinson’s fantasy ceiling might be somewhat limited by the Bears’ QB situation, his floor remains incredibly high, making him a bankable WR2 for 2021. He’s currently going early in the fourth round as the 12th wide receiver off the board. A good bet for around 100 catches and 1,200 receiving yards, Robinson is certainly worth taking there after returning top-10 value at his position last year.
