NHL Bets of the Day: Best Hockey Picks Today 6/24/21

Nick Suzuki Over 0.5 points (-120)

The Montreal Canadiens host the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night as the 2021 NHL Western Conference Finals heads back to Montreal. Canadiens second-year center Nick Suzuki has really come into his own this postseason, racking up 13 points on five goals and eight assists in 16 games. Five of those points have come over his last three games, including three in Game 5.

The 21-year-old has taken his game to another level during the playoffs and has been a significant factor in almost every game, making him a strong bet to record at least one point tonight. With multiple shots in every game this series, he’s also a good bet to hit the over on 1.5 shots (-200).

Montreal Canadiens On The Moneyline (+125)

It appears that sportsbooks are set on making Montreal a perpetual underdog. That’s fine with me, as this line is quite reasonable, especially with the Canadiens at home. Vegas may be better on paper, but Montreal has played better, which is why they are now series favorites at -190. Can they close it out tonight at home?

I say yes. Take the moneyline at +125. I’m tempted to also take Montreal winning in regulation +190, but sticking with the moneyline is safer.
