Max Pacioretty, Vegas Golden Knights vs. Montreal Canadiens
Anytime Goal (+140)
The Vegas Golden Knights face the Montreal Canadiens again on Friday night as the Stanley Cup semifinal series shifts to Montreal. The Canadiens have done a good job containing Golden Knights winger Max Pacioretty thus far, limiting him to just three shots and zero points over the first two games.
That said, look for Pacioretty to break out and get a few more scoring chances in Game 3. He has always felt at home in Montreal, where he spent the first 10 years of his career. Pacioretty is going to break through at some point in this series, and I’m betting it finally happens tonight.
Vegas Golden Knights To Win In Regulation (+100)
Vegas is now at -165 to win Game 3 on the moneyline, which is just too much for a road team that has not shown up in the first period so far in this series. That couldn’t happen a third time, could it?
While Vegas went down by three goals in Game 2, the expectation is that this will not happen in Game 3, as the Golden Knights should be able to adjust. Vegas is also hopeful that center Chandler Stephenson can return to the ice after being forced out of Game 2 with an upper-body injury.
With the possibility of better efforts by some of Vegas’ top players, the Golden Knights could be an attractive option. Accordingly, taking Vegas to win Game 3 in regulation is a sneaky play at even money.
