For Thursday, Mike Barner has your MLB Betting Picks of the Day: Best Baseball Props Today 6/10/21. All odds were obtained from PointsBet.
Thursday doesn’t bring the busiest slate in baseball, especially if you’re avoiding putting any action on the four games with early start times. Let’s focus on some player props to consider for the six night games instead as I look to build on my season record of 8-4 (+2.65 units).

Giancarlo Stanton, New York Yankees at Minnesota Twins
To Hit a Home Run (+260)
Wager: 0.5 units (win would pay 1.8 units)
Like a lot of sluggers, Stanton typically runs hot or cold in the power department. He had gone 15 straight games without a home run before going deep twice against the Twins yesterday. Prior to that 15-game drought, he had homered in three straight games.
Stanton is always capable of putting one in the seats, especially against lefties. The former NL MVP has destroyed southpaws for a .616 slugging percentage throughout his career, so I like his chances of taking J.A. Happ
yard tonight, especially with Happ allowing 1.4 HR/9 this year.
Max Scherzer, Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants
To Record a Win (+100)
Wager: 0.75 units (win would pay 1.5 units)
Scherzer is appealing for win bets not only because he has a 2.22 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP, but also because he routinely pitches deep into games. The NL strikeout leader is averaging over 6 1/3 innings per start and has won four of his last six decisions. He’ll also get to face a depleted Giants lineup at home that is currently missing Mike Yastrzemski
(thumb), Evan Longoria
(shoulder), and Alex Dickerson
Alex Bregman, Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox
To Record a Hit (-230)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.43 units)
Left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez
is scheduled to be on the bump for Boston, which is noteworthy for Bregman. He has crushed lefties throughout his career, batting .322/.408/.593 against them. Bregman’s been hot lately with six hits in his last three games, and he’ll look to pick up another hit tonight against a pitcher who’s allowing a .294 batting average to right-handed hitters this year.
