MLB Betting Props of the Day: Best Baseball Prop Picks Today 6/4/21
Zack Wheeler, Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals (7:05 p.m. ET)

Wheeler has been electric over his last seven starts with a 66:8 K/BB ratio. He’s notched double-digit strikeouts in each of his last three starts and struck out 7 in his previous start against the Nationals on May 12.
The 6.5 K prop number is more reflective of a Nationals lineup that has the sixth-lowest K rate in baseball this year at 22.8 percent, but recent trends show they are striking out more in their last seven games (26.3 percent). Washington also has a weak offense, ranking 23rd in runs per game (3.87).
Accordingly, look for Wheeler to stay hot against the Nats’ lineup tonight. I’m predicting him to go 7 innings with 8 strikeouts.
Frankie Montas, Oakland Athletics @ Colorado Rockies (8:40 p.m. ET)
Under 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)
Wager: 1 unit
Montas has been a favorite of mine for strikeout props when he is at home, as has his teammate Sean Manaea. But on the road is a different story, and Coors Field is a different animal altogether.
The total on the game is up to 11 runs, so it should be fairly high-scoring. The Rockies are also much better at home than on the road, and their strikeout numbers reflect that. They are the fifth-hardest team to punch out at home (20.9 percent) but are the fourth-easiest team to whiff on the road (27.0 percent).
Montas has averaged 5.7 strikeouts per game this season, but just 4.7 strikeouts per game in his three road starts. Even with a shift to the NL tonight, his line of 5.5 does appear inflated, especially given the venue.
My projections have Montas with just 4 strikeouts today and only going 5 innings, which aligns with his season average of 5 1/3 innings per start.
