Last night’s bet didn’t pay off, as Michael Pineda got roughed up early and Minnesota’s bats didn’t get going against an Orioles team that had lost 16 straight games to the Twins dating back to 2018. You can’t win ’em all, though, so we’re back today with another best bet.

The juice is a bit high for the Braves team total, but it’s going to be worth it. Every bet is worth it when it wins!
Lester enters tonight’s action with an 0-2 record, a 4.91 ERA, and a 1.47 WHIP on the season. He’s also coming off a rough May in which he had a 5.92 ERA and allowed batters to hit .301/.353/.495 against him. At 37 years old, the former All-Star is well past his prime and struggling to get hitters out consistently.
The Braves should be able to exploit this matchup. They currently rank third in the NL with 4.88 runs per game, and they’ve been even more potent over the last month-plus. Over their last 31 games, the Braves have averaged 5.26 runs per game, including 11 runs over the first two games of this series.
Atlanta has also been considerably better against lefties this year (.767 OPS vs. LHP, .745 OPS vs. RHP) and at home, where they’re averaging 5.31 runs per game and have a robust .803 OPS. With a predominately right-handed lineup led by Ronald Acuña Jr., the Braves are built to do some damage here.
All things considered, I think Atlanta gets to Lester early and often in this one, driving him from the game and scoring at least 5-6 runs again.
