NRFI June 2 Bet MLB Bet

San Diego Padres at Chicago Cubs (2:20 p.m. ET first pitch)

RHP Dinelson Lamet vs. RHP Adbert Alzolay

No-Run First Inning: Padres @ Cubs (-140)

Adbert Alzolay was a big question mark going into his rookie year in Chicago, and he started off a bit slow. But he’s really picked it up as of late, coming off the best start of his career last week, blanking the Reds. With no Fernando Tatis Jr. for San Diego, I feel very confident Alzolay can work his way around the Padres’ offense. On the other side of things, Dinelson Lamet has been solid since coming off the IL, only allowing more than 1 ER once this year. However, he’s been on a bit of a short leash, not pitching more than 3 innings all year. Expect him to make the most of this start today against a Cubs lineup that doesn’t hit righties particularly well.
