Auston Matthews, Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Montreal Canadiens

Over 4.5 shots (+105)

The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night to end their Round 1 battle. Auston Matthews has been averaging 5.33 shots per game this series and has gone over 4.5 shots in six of his last eight games.

Matthews is coming into a Game 7 where Toronto has given away a 3-1 series lead. The pressure is extraordinarily high on the center. However, scoring chances and shots should be elevated given that Montreal stubbornly still has Shea Weber matched up against Matthews in most even-strength situations. That alone should be enough, along with the +105 odds, to take the Over.

Toronto Maple Leafs win in regulation (-130)

The number here has stayed around -130, and that is not all that surprising given how close this series has become. Understand the fact that Montreal tends to play things tight. They also have a propensity to blow multiple-goal leads so not lead is safe. That adds to the risk.

However, this bet is better than the current -200 moneyline that includes overtime. Toronto carries significant risk but the Maple Leafs only have to win by one goal in 60 minutes. The puckline (-1.5 goals) at +125 does not have as much value currently.
