Alvin Kamara 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook
Kamara is slated to operate with either Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill under center in 2021, and the reality is both players may ultimately see time as the starting quarterback as the season unfolds.
The running back’s value will argue be highest when Winston is at the controls for a number of reasons. The 2015 first overall pick’s ability to get the ball downfield should keep defenses honest to a degree, he’s less likely to vulture red-zone scoring opportunities with his legs as compared to Hill.
Of course, head coach Sean Payton could make the ground game and safe passes to Kamara a priority given Winston’s extensive, troubled history with turnovers. Naturally, even with a presumably healthy Thomas, Kamara should remain a focal point of the offense under any scenario, especially with the receiver depth chart behind Thomas replete with unproven options and veteran tight end Jared Cook also having signed with the Chargers this offseason.

Alvin Kamara 2021 Fantasy Football Draft Value (PPR)
Even with what will almost certainly be another sub-200-carry workload, Kamara naturally remains an elite, highly coveted piece, especially in full PPR formats. He’s a top-5 fantasy football draft selection once again, considering his receiving role doesn’t require an extremely accurate passer and the fact he boasts an expansive red-zone presence that saw him log a whopping 62 targets inside the 20 last season.
