May 14 MLB Prop Bet Tips
Kevin Gausman, San Francisco Giants @ Pittsburgh Pirates (6:35 p.m. ET)

Gausman has gotten off to a tremendous start in 2021, allowing one earned run or less in six of his first seven outings. He is also averaging over one strikeout per inning (9.3 K/9) and has notched at least six strikeouts in each of his last three starts.
While the Pirates have been the NL’s fifth-hardest team to strike out this year, their offense ranks near the bottom of the league in most major categories. Gausman also has a clear edge in the pitching matchup over Miguel Yajure, which means he shouldn’t have to worry about being pulled early for a pinch-hitter in a close game.
Gausman’s pitched at least six innings in all seven of his starts this year, and he should be able to go deep into this game as well against Pittsburgh’s poor lineup. That’ll give him plenty of chances to rack up some whiffs, making him a strong bet to hit the over here.
Corey Kluber, New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles (7:05 p.m. ET)

I had to dig a little for a second strikeout prop today and landed on Kluber under 5.5, which is a bit unexpected. The Orioles do not strike out very often, however, making this a difficult matchup. Over the last 30 days, Baltimore is the fourth-hardest MLB team to strike out with a 20.9 K%.
Kluber hasn’t been pitching very deep into games this year, averaging just over five innings per start. As a result, five of his seven starts have produced five strikeouts or less, including his previous start against Baltimore this season. Accordingly, I’m taking the under here.
